Stonyfield Farms Shifts to Innovative Supply Chain Management with SupplyShift

Stonyfield Farm Inc. — think: organic yogurt — has signed up with Santa Cruz-based SupplyShift to manage its Screen Shot 2014-01-31 at 11.55.50 AMsupply chain.

Organic dairy producer Stonyfield Farm, Inc. announced this week that it will utilize a new tool to manage its supply chain: SupplyShift™ — a new, cloud-based, supply chain management platform focused on sustainability, but flexible enough to assess any procurement need or supply chain risks.

SupplyShift was founded by three UC Santa Cruz Ph.D. graduates, Alexander Gershenson, Dustin Mulvaney and James Barsimantov. SupplyShift was one of seven TechCrunch Disrupt New York 2013 finalists.

Reflecting last May, Gershenson said:
