Tech at the Santa Cruz Business Fair?

Should you attend the Santa Cruz Chamber of Commerce’s 2014 Business Fair?
The Santa Cruz Chamber of Commerce’s annual Business Fair is the organization’s biggest event of the year. In past years, I’ve mentioned this Fair to members of the local tech community and the typical response has been that they weren’t familiar with it, and wondered why they should attend.
Here’s why. If you provide tech services — including web development, app development, SEO expertise, online marketing help, graphic design, and more — and want to quickly meet hundreds of non-tech professionals — medical, real estate, construction, food & beverage, etc. — in Santa Cruz that might need your services, you’ll be hard pressed to find a single event in Santa Cruz where you can meet more local business individuals per square foot than this fair.
With 100+ exhibitors and 2000+ attendees, this is the Santa Cruz’s business networking-on-steroids premier event.
Businesses and nonprofits strut their stuff at exhibit tables, and the room is packed with professionals in all sectors who want to mingle, taste food & wine, collect schwag, trade business cards, and most important of all, make professional connections.
Come support us, work the room, and make new local business connections
This year Doug Erickson, Andrew Mueller, and I (Sara Isenberg) plan to attend so that more folks in the business community can learn about Santa Cruz New Tech Meetup, Santa Cruz Tech Raising, and Santa Cruz Tech Beat.
Then, head over to The Nick for Event Santa Cruz’s “Bridging the Gap” night.
