They came out of stealth at NextSpace this week, and the official announcement from corporate is still under wraps, however with a quick search I was able to find a variety of Amazon Marketplace job openings located in Santa Cruz.

It would appear that Amazon is building up a mobile marketplace development team here.

An unnamed source said, “Amazon likes to go where the talent is.” Apparently, it’s Santa Cruz. What other conclusion would you draw?
