Partnership Brings Imprivata Cortext Secure Messaging to MobileIron App Ecosystem
Imprivata, the healthcare IT security company, today announced that it has joined the MobileIron AppConnect ecosystem. The integration of Imprivata Cortext with MobileIron AppConnect improves care coordination for customers, enabling secure, efficient messaging from mobile devices and tablets, while enabling IT to apply policy controls to securely manage corporate data.
MobileIron is the leader in mobile enterprise security, provides its AppConnect technology to third party mobile app developers. With MobileIron AppConnect apps, companies can provide the third-party application experiences their employees want, with apps that have been enabled with auto-configuration, data containerization, and secure tunneling to protect corporate data.
“Our partnership with MobileIron provides central controls for hospital IT teams to deploy and securely manage Imprivata Cortext across the enterprise,” said Ed Gaudet, General Manager, Imprivata Cortext. “Healthcare relies on us to deliver the highest level of security and clinician convenience; our integration with MobileIron gives healthcare IT the required control and management of mobile devices and applications.”
The Imprivata and MobileIron integration enables a unique, streamlined onboarding experience for clinical users, and the ability for IT to centrally manage security policies and controls such as PIN lock. Endorsed by the American Hospital Association, and named the named the 2016 Category Leader for Secure Messaging by industry analyst firm KLAS, Imprivata Cortext is the secure communication platform for healthcare that enables providers to quickly and easily communicate using their mobile device, tablet, or desktop to better coordinate care across groups and multiple affiliated sites.
Texting remains the preferred method of communication among providers, a point that was underscored in April when the Joint Commission concluded that it is now acceptable for physicians to text patient orders using a secure text messaging platform. Earlier this year, Imprivata Cortext achieved SOC 2 Type 1 certification, recognized worldwide as one of the strictest audit standards for service providers.
