New Funding Model Empowers Community Funding of Startups
For decades, only accredited investors were able to reap the benefits of investing in startups. The risk was considered too much for the average person.
A new funding model called Regulation Crowdfunding (Reg CF) enables anyone to invest in their favorite startup for as little as $100.
On Thursday, December 10, 2020, 7-8pm, Santa Cruz Works and Sail Community Capital will showcase four (4) local startups seeking funding: Parallel Flight Technologies, New Way Homes, California Farmlink, and Carnot Compression. Each startup will have 5 minutes to pitch their company. Four (4) VCs will then ask questions. The audience will also have a chance to ask questions. Anyone will have the opportunity to invest in their favorite startup during and after the event.
Companies pitching include:
- New Way Homes Their innovative solutions for creating affordable and below-market-rate housing in Santa Cruz is scalable to the Bay Area and beyond. Invest: https://wefunder.com/new.way.homes
